SOYA National Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM)

October 2012 - 15:21On the 20th and 21st October 2012, the New South Wales state Board of the Serbian Orthodox Youth Association (SOYA) hosted a national conference and annual general meeting (AGM). Approximately forty people attended the conference, hosted at St Lazarus Cathedral in Alexandria, NSW.
The conference centred on broad themes of strategic planning, organisational challenges, opportunities for improvement and spiritual engagement with churches on a state and parish level.
A panel of six chaired the meeting on Saturday, 20th October 2012. The panel included Her Excellency Ambassador of Serbia Ms Neda Maletić, His Grace Bishop Irinej of Australia and New Zealand, Fr George Veselinović, Fr Miodrag Perić, current national President Mr Janko Nikolić (SOYA Victoria) and current national Vice-President Mr Predrag Srebro (SOYA NSW).
Saint Petka celebrated on Cukarica

The Feast day of Venerable Mother Paraskeva was solemnly celebrated with the Divine Liturgy at the church on Čukarica, which is devoted to this great Saint.
His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Kyr Irinej served Hierarchical Divine Liturgy with the concelebration of His Grace Bishop of Raska-Prizren Kyr Teodosije and many priests of the Archdiocese of Belgrade-Karlovci, and several other Dioceses of our Holy Church.
Bishop Constantine Served in Augsburg
25. October 2012 - 15:26His Grace Constantine, Bishop of Middle Europe served on October 21, 2012 the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy in Augsburg regarding the church Patron Saint-day of Saint Stephen and Jelena Štiljanović. His Grace Bishop was concelebrated by Diocesan clergy.

25. October 2012 - 12:05His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch attended a solemn academy at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade on October 23, 2012 regarding the centennial of the World War I and the liberation of Serbia.
Church of Saint Michael the Archangel consecrated in Jasenovo Polje near Nikšić

October 2012 - 9:13His Eminence Amfilohije, Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral and Their Graces Joanikije, Bishop of Budimlje-Niksic and Grigorije, Bishop of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and the Littoral consecrated a new church of Saint Michael the Archangel in Jasenovo Polje near Nikšić on Thursday, October 18th.
Several thousand believers, among which there was the famous Serbian tennis player Novak Đoković with his family, were present at this ceremony.
