By the prayerful intercession of the great lumen of the Church, St. Basil of Ostrog the Wonderworker, a great crowd of people gathered from all over the Diocese of Mileseva and from other areas, on the patron saint of the Cathedral in Prijepolje, i.e. the day of his celebration on May 12, 2019.

The Divine Liturgy was officiated by His Grace Dr. Mitrofan, Bishop of the Diocese of Canada, along with the participation of the Diocesan Bishop of Mileseva Atanasije; dean of Priboj Archpriest-Stavrophor Dragan Vidakovic; Director of the Radio Mileseva, Archpriest-Staurophor Marko Papic; dean of Nova Varos, Archpriest Stanko Blagojevic; abbot of the Dormition monastery at Seljane, hieromonk Petar; abbot of the monastery of Holy Archangels at Djurdjevica Tara, hieromonk Zosim; principal of the Church of St. Nikolaj of Ohrid and Žiča at Kolovrat, priest Nebojša Jovanović, as well as of two  deacons.

A regular annual session of the Central Church Body for completion of the Memorial Church of St. Sava in the Vracar District of Belgrade was held in the premises of that church on May 11, 2019 (photo gallery).

After an address of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej, a chairman of the Committee for completion of the construction and interior decoration of the Memorial Church of St. Sava, principal of the Church and Vicar Bishop of the Serbian Patriarch, His Eminence Bishop Stefan of Remesiana, submitted a report on the activities in the Church, while the report on works on the mosaic decoration was presented by Mr. Nikolai Muhin, head of the artists team and manager of works.

Conclusions: Freedom of Religion or Belief in Montenegro

The participants of the international academic conference “Freedom of Religion or Belief in Montenegro“ have carefully examined and considered the drafting process and current material content of the draft “Law on Freedom of Religion”[1], first proposed by the Government of Montenegro on 30 July 2015.

On the basis of these deliberations and convinced, that freedom is endowed on the human person not only as a secular right, but also as an eternal gift from God, and as such integral to human nature, they agreed to emphasize the following:

Church slava in Celebici

On Sunday, September 25, in Celebici near Konjic, a church slava was celebrated and a restored church of the Nativity of the Mother of God was consecrated. The Holy Hierarchal Liturgy and the consecration of the church was served by Bishop Grigorije of Zahumlje, Herzegovina and the Littoral, with the concelebration of protopresbyter-staurophor Radivoje Krulj, presbyter Nebojsa Radic, presbyter Branimir Borovcanin, presbyter Milan Buzanin and deacon Vladimir Vukanovic.
