100th anniversary of the church of Sts. Peter and Paul the Apostles in Milici
His Grace Bishop Gerasim of Gornji Karlovac served on the feast of St. Peter, July 12, 2012 the Divine Liturgy in the church of Sts. Peter and Paul the Apostles in the village of Milici in Bela Krajina (Slovenija). On this occasion the 100th anniversary of this church was marked.
As a recognition and a gratitude for his great devotion to the Holy Church, and especially active love shown through the wholehearted support to the Diocese of Gornji Karlovac, Bishop Gerasim decorated Mr. Sima Selaković with the Order of the Holy New Martyrs of Gornji Karlovac. The Municipality of Crnomelj also recieved an acknowledgment.
After the holiday's sermon, Bishop Gerasim also welcomed distinguished guests: Venerable Archdeacon Marko, Secretary of the Office of the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church; deputy county perfect of the Črnomelj Municipality; representativee of the Institute for Monument Protection of the Republic of Slovenia Mrs. Marinuka Dražumerić; parish priest of the parish Adlešić f. Vinko as well as many believers who had gathered at this ceremony.
The same day Bishop Gerasim visited the oldest citizen of this village, granny Zora Milic, who will soon celebrate her 100th birthday.
