Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Scholarship
The Ecumenical Patriarchate recently developed the “Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Scholarship” program, with funding provided by the John C. Kulis Charitable Foundation (the “Kulis Foundation”).
His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has tirelessly supported the education of his community for many years, and this program has emerged as the first-ever fully funded scholarship program. It is designed to provide scholarships to students pursuing post-secondary education who are members of the Ecumenical Patriarchate’s community in Turkey.
This year’s recipients were selected by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew based on their commitment to serve their historic Greek Orthodox Christian Community and their strong desire to pursue higher education. Therefore, it is with great joy that His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and the Kulis Foundation announce the names of the 2014 scholarship recipients:
- Lazaros Bruhin (attending Yeditepe University)
- Christos Dafnopatidis (attending University of South Florida)
- Chrisovalantis Gülgün (attending T.C. Istanbul Kültür University)
- Panagiotis Kaparizas (attending Haliç University – Conservatory)
The Kulis Foundation is thrilled to financially support this innovative program. Please join us in congratulating and wishing this year’s recipients the best of luck in their academic endeavors.
