Admiral Locklear in the Patriarchate of Pec
On Monday, July 18, 2011 the laura of the Patriarchate of Pec in Metohia was visited by admiral Samuel Locklear III, the commander of the Allied Joint Force Command Naples with associates, among those there was also KFOR commander, Major-General Erchard Biller. Admiral Locklear was received by archimandrite Jovan (Culibrk), the elected Bishop of Lipljan, and heugomene of the Pec Patriarchate mother Favronija.
During the visit of the church in the monastery dwellings Admiral Locklear was informed about the much suffered history of the Patriarchate and the Serbian sanctities in Kosovo and Metohija, and about the need for its continous and serious protection.
The need of the return of people was specially discussed, because it hesitates to come back to its homes. Admiral Locklear expressed an interest for life issues of the Pec Patriarchate, awareness that the protections was necessary not only now but also in the future, as well as assurance that he personally and his units will also be devoted to protection of the sanctities and the people.
