Ambassador of Japan visits Serbian Patriarchate

On behalf of his Holiness Patriarch Pavle of Serbia, His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral received today at the Patriarchate Court in Belgrade His Excellency Ambassador of Japan Toshi Tsunozaki with assistants.

In a constructive discussion Metropolitan Amfilohije reminded the highly regarded guest of place of Kosovo and Metohija in Serbian history and tradition, especially emphasizing the importance of keeping peace and the protection of the sanctuaries of our Holy Church and cultural and historic monuments in the Serbian southern province.

At the end of the talks the Ambassador Tsunozaki asked Metropolitan to convey cordial greetings to His Holiness Patriarch Pavle of Serbia and thanked for a warm welcome in the centre of the Serbian Orthodox Church as well as in all monasteries he had visited during his stay in Serbia.
