For the last 48 hours the Archbishop seems to respond very well to the treatment given to him by the treating doctors and the recovery process will continue at home, as there is always the risk of hospital-acquired infections.

Speaking to orthodoxtimes.com, people who are monitoring the Archbishop’s health pointed out that in the last 48 hours, Archbishop Ieronymos has responded impressively to the treatment and does not show any worrying signs that could indicate deterioration.

In fact, the Archbishop has been without a fever since Sunday morning. “With God’s help and the great efforts of the doctors, Archbishop Ieronymos can return to his home before the end of this week and, after the expected quarantine and rest, the Archbishop will be able to return to his duties,” said a man who is by the side of the Archbishop at “Evangelismos” Hospital.

Asked if the Archbishop had received any special treatment in relation to the other patients, people from the medical staff who monitor Archbishop Ieronymos clarified that “all the protocols that have been implemented were the ones that are being followed for any patient with Covid-19”.
