Archbishop of Athens thanked the media for broadcasting the liturgies

Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece expressed gratitude to all those who work in order to broadcast the liturgies on television, radio and online during these difficult times of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to ANA-MPA information, the Archbishop had a telephone conversation with ANT1 Group Chair Thodoris Kyriakou to whom he expressed gratitude for the private initiative, taken both by ANT1 and other electronic media, to broadcast the Rejoicings Liturgies and the Divine Liturgies on the ANT1 television station and online.

The primate of the Church of Greece thanked all those who are working to give the opportunity to everyone, including the Orthodox abroad, in every place, especially those in the most remote village of Greece, to watch the liturgies on television or online.

It is recalled that, according to the decision of the Greek government, only the Sunday Divine Liturgy will be performed in temples without the presence of the faithful and, if they are to be performed, they can be broadcast on television, radio or online.
