Archbishop Ieronymos II: Kosovo and Metohija are Serbian Acropolis
Minister of Defense of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Aleksandar Vulin, who is on a two-day visit to Greece, met with Archbishop Ieronymos II of Athens and All Greece and on that occasion he thanked the Greek Orthodox Church for the support that it had been giving to the preservation of Serbian identity and Orthodoxy on Kosovo and Metohija.
Archbishop Ieronymos says that Kosovo and Metohija are “the Serbian Acropolis”, emphasizing that wherever the voice of the Greek Orthodox Church is heard, and it is heard very far and it is very influential, and consequently it will repeat that Kosovo and Metohija are Serbian and that all holy places in Kosovo and Metohija are Serbian.
Minister Vulin said that the Greek Orthodox Church was a great support and a strong column in the struggle of the Serbian people to preserve itself, its culture, history and tradition on the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, it is reported by the Minister of Defense.
He conveyed that the Archbishop of Athens requested him to kindly convey greetings to the Serbian state leadership and the Church, once more indicating that the Greek Church was great, influential and respected, and that it would always be with the Serbian people.
During the official visit to the Republic of Greece, Minister Vulin met with the Minister of National Defense Mr. Panos Kamenos and the President of the Greece Mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos.
