On 2 July 2018, Archbishop Sergy of Solnechnogorsk, administrator of the Moscow Patriarchate’s parishes in East and South-East Asia, met with Mr. Andrei Tatarinov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Singapore.

The participants in the meeting discussed various issues of humanitarian relations between Russia and Singapore, as well as the construction in Singapore of a Russian Culture Centre and a Russian Orthodox church.

Taking part in the meeting were Mr. O.V. Kharlamov, Minister Counsellor of the Russian diplomatic representation; Hieromonk Pitirim (Dodenko), senior priest of the Dormition parish in Singapore; and Mr. Dmitry Petrovsky of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations.

That same day Archbishop Sergy and those who accompanied him on his visit to Asia departed for Moscow.
