Reception for high delegation of Islamic Republic of Iran

With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Pavle of Serbia and His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral, His Grace Bishop Atanasije received on October 6, 2009 at the Patriarchate court in Belgrade a high delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, led by His Excellence Dr Mehdi Mostafavi, councilor of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the head of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Relations.

The delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, except Habibollah Valiollahi Malekshah, Chargé d' Affairs of the Embassy of the I.R. in Belgrade, consisted of representatives of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Relations, as well as representatives of the Embassy of the I.R. of Iran in Belgrade.

His Grace welcomed the guests on behalf of His Holiness Patriarch Pavle of Serbia and His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral.

The high guest expressed pleasant emotions towards the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian people from the people of Iran and suggested a wider cultural cooperation with the Serbian Orthodox Church.
