Augustinos of Germany: Patriarch Bartholomew fears only God

Metropolitan Augustinos of Germany gave a speech a while ago during the official luncheon for the enthronement of the new Archbishop of America, Elpidophoros.

The Metropolitan of Germany in his speech spoke of Archbishop Elpidophoros, whom, as the former said, he knows better than himself.

Metropolitan Augustinos also referred to the gifts of the new Archbishop, stressing that “Archbishop Elpidophoros will write his own history in America!”

At some point in his speech the Metropolitan of Germany referred characteristically to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

In particular, Metropolitan Augustinos said that Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew is a great and significant personality, whose name shall endure forever in history.

“Patriarch Bartholomew is afraid neither of the Russians, nor the Turks or Ukraine. The Ecumenical Patriarch is afraid only of God”, stressed in concluding his speech the Metropolitan of Germany.
