Bishop Andrej of Remesiana visits London
On 23rd Sunday after Pentecost, on feast day of Venerable Father Abramius the Recluse and Holy Martyr Anastasia the Roman His Grace Andrej, Bishop of Remesiana, Vicar of Serbian Patriarch, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the church of Saint Sava in London. Following the Holy Liturgy, Bishop Andrej addressed the faithful and conveyed greetings and prayers of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch.
The previous day at the Serbian cemetary in Brookwood, Bishop Andrej, with the blessing of Bishop Dositej of Britain and Scandinavia, also served the six-month commemoration to benefactors of the St. Sava church in London.
The Serbian cemetary in Brookwood was founded 25 years ago and belongs to St. Sava church in London. The magnificent church of Saint Sava in London was consecrated in 1952 by Saint Bishop Nikolaj of Zica and since then has represented the center of the spiritual life of the Serbs in London.
