Bishop Atanasije visits President of Republic of Srpska
His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Bihac-Petrovac met with President of the Republic of Srpska Mr. Milorad Dodik at the Palace of the President of the Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka yesterday
The meeting was attended by Mr. Miladin Dragicevic, advisor to the President, and Mr. Zorn Jurisc, chief of the cabinet of Bishop Atanasije. Bishop Atanasije and President Dodik discussed the actual themes concerning all citizens of the Republic of Srpska, and especially the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. President Dodik called for a closer cooperation between the Serbian Orthodox Church and the state institutions of the Republic of Srpska.
The interlocutors specifically agreed that the Serbian Church can make a decisive contribution to the field of education, spirituality and humanitarian activities. President Dodik provided a full support to Bishop Atanasije and the Diocese of Bihac-Petrovac.
Meetings of this kind will continue in Banja Luka and in Bosanski Petrovac and will be a foundation of active work.
