On the 6th Sunday of Pascha, June 6, 2021, the Sunday of the Blind Man, His Grace Bishop Irinej celebrated the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy in the Monastery Church of the Holy Archangel Gabriel in Zemun Park, Serbia. Concelebrating with His Grace were Presbyters Panagiotis and Alexander.

During his tenure in Belgrade as Consultant to the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church for Interfaith and Governmental Relations (2004-2006), the then Hieromonk Irinej was attached to this Monastery parish, together with the late Protopresbyter Dr Radovan Bigovic.

This parish is also known as the “Greek Parish” of Belgrade, as the Greek merchants of Zemun were its founders, and today services the liturgical and spiritual needs of the Greek faithful of the Diplomatic Corps and Belgrade residents.
