Bishop Irinej visits Oakland, New Zealand
With Mercy of God, His Grace Bishop Irinej of the Metropolitanate of Australia and New Zealand also this year visited Oakland on the occasion of the celebration of the church slava of Holy King Milutin.
On Saturday, November 12, 2011, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy was served at which His Grace was concelebrated by a priest from Wellington archpriest Ljubomir Kudric, priest of the Russian Church Abroad archpriest Vladimir Bojkov, priest of the Greek Orthodox Church archpriest George Bosauder, competent parish priest presbyter Sava Antic and archpriest Branko Vasilic. During the Liturgy, the Bishop ordained competent parish priest presbyter Sava protonasmesnik.
After reading Holy Gospel Bishop Irinej addressed the gathered people congratulating its church slava.
During the Holy Liturgy Bishop Irinej cut the slava cake and blessed the wheat.
After the end of the Liturgy, guests and hosts joined the table of love, which was prepared by the sisters from the Cirle of Serbian Sisters. During the solemn lunch a folklore group "Sokolici" sang the hymns of New Zealand and Serbia.
