Bishop Nikanor of Banat consecrates a church in Seleus

His Grace Bishop Nikanor of Banat consecrated a Serbian Orthodox Church dedicated to Serbian Saints, on November 26 with the concelebration of local priests.

The solemn event was attended by representatives of Alibunar’s local authorities led by president of the municipality Dusan Jovanovic. The church has been enlarged and broadened, altar, new iconostasis, holy throne refurbished and the relics of the saint placed.

This church now becomes a holy shrine where local parish priest will serve liturgies, and locals will be baptized and married.

For the excellent work and showed effort Bishop Nikanor ordained priest Jovan Veselinovic a protopresbyter-staurophor and gave him the right of bearing the pectoral cross.
