Bishop Siluan's Archpastoral visit to Queensland
Canonical visit to Queensland of His Grace Bishop Siluan of Australia and New Zealand began on April 16, 2021, with the Second Vigil in the church of St. Nicholas in Wacol, where a large number of believers gathered to offer prayers to the Most Holy Mother of God together with their archpastor.
The next day, April 17, 2021, Bishop Siluan served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Church Community of the Assumption of the Most Holy Mother of God on the Gold Coast. On that occasion, the Bishop consecrated the renovated Parish House and ordained Mr. Luka Draskovicto the rank of reader.
In the afternoon of the same day, the Bishop visited the church of St. Nicholas in Vulangaba, where he held a religious education class for the students of the Parish School, and then attended the Sunday vigil.
On Sunday, April 18, 2021, the Bishop served the Holy Hierarch's Liturgy in the church of St. Nicholas in Vulangaba.
During his archpastoral visit to Queensland, Bishop Siluan addressed words of consolation and encouragement to the faithful, pointing to the God-man Christ who is the only sure support in every crisis, the only consolation and hope, the only way out of all human impasses.
On Monday, April 19, 2021, concluding the visit, the Bishop held a fraternal meeting with the clergy of Queensland in the premises of the Church Community of St. Nicholas in Wacol.
