Bishop Teodosije liturgized in a renovated monastery
Memory of Venerable Paraskeva was marked in the monastery of Ulije near Leposavic.
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Bishop Theodosius of Raska and Prizren, with concelebration of the Episcopal dean of Mitrovica Protopriest-Stavrophor Milija Arsovic as well as of the clergy and of hieromonks and hierodeacons of the Diocese of Raska-Prizren.
Bishop Theodosije recalled the saintly life of Venerable Martyr Paraskeva, who suffered at the time of Roman Emperor Antoninus, refusing to renounce her faith: - The saint endured the most severe torture and remained miraculously unharmed. She is especially revered among the faithful as virgin martyr and confessor of the faith of Christ, said Bishop Theodosius and pointed out:
-The saints, by their living example, show us that we should not renounce our faith or give up our heritage. For centuries, our ancestors have remained faithful to God in the most difficult circumstances of life, not even thinking to leave their native land - Kosovo and Metohia, which is a message for all of us today - to remain worthy heirs to their example and never give up Kosovo and Metohia and our holy sites by which we have grown.
