Bishop Teodosije receives high delegation of the Italian Parliament
His Grace Vicar Bishop Teodosije of Lipljan has received today at the Visoki Dechani Monastery a high delegation of the Italian Parliament. Mr. Stefano Stefani, the President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Italian Parliament, led the delegation.
During the talks with the members of the Italian Parliament Bishop Teodosije spoke about problems that Serbs deal with in Kosovo and Metohia, especially in exercise of the basic human rights and right to property. Bishop Teodosije mentioned that many Serbian families, especially in Metohia, still cannot recover their confiscated or usurped land, which is a form of pressure on the Serbs to sell their land. In later conversation it was discussed about a need of protection of the identity and the property of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo and Metohia.
The high delegation of the Italian Parliament is visiting Kosovo and Metohia, where it has visited also Italian forces within the KFOR.
