Blood donation action at the church of Holy Transfiguration in Belgrade

A blood donation action was held on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at the presbytery of the Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord on Pashino Brdo in Belgrade, with the blessing of the head and brotherhood of the church, organized by the Choral Society TRANSFIGURATION, in a cooperation with the Blood Transfusion Institute of Serbia. After the Holy Liturgy, a fervent prayer for the sick was held, and at the beautiful churchyard priesthood and present believers could enjoy in a nice chanting of the choir "Transfiguration", led by conductor Bratislav Prokic, followed by the blood donation action.

There was a great deal of blood donators, which took part in this action, and first who donated blood were priests of this temple and members of choir.

This was the first action of the brotherhood, choir and parishioners of this type, but they made a deal regarding future blood donation actions that will take place two times a year at the church of Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ and the first one in the spring, after Easter, and then in the autumn around Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
