Building of the First Orthodox Church in Pakistan

The first Orthodox Church is being built in Pakistan. The faithful are hoping that construction of the Church will be completed in October of this year.

The mission of the Patriarchate of Constantinople has existed in Pakistan since 2004. It includes large communities in Lahore, Wazirabad and Hafizabad as well as small communities in Gujranwala, Nawabshah and Faisalabad. They are under the spiritual guidance of Priest John Tanveer; the number of the believers is 550 people. All of them are local Pakistanis.
