Canadian Parliamentary Delegation at the Serbian Patriarchate

Canadian parliamentarians and representatives of Christian NGOs from Canada visited the Serbian Patriarchate

With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, the editor-in-chief of the Information Service of the Serbian Orthodox Church protodeacon Radomir Rakic and the head of the Office of the Serbian Patriarch deacon Aleksandar Prascevic, PhD, welcomed Mr. Harold Albrecht and Mrs. Cathy Wegnatal, Canadian members of the Parliament, accompanied by associates and chairmen of the Christian non-government organizations from Canada.

The Canadian parliamentary delegation expressed their gratitude to the officials of the Serbian Orthodox Church for a warm welcome during which protodeacon Radomir Rakic exposed them difficulties of the Church life during the Communist period, whareas deacon Aleksandar Prascevic, PhD, pointed to the problems that Orthodox Christians have been facing in South Eastern Europe at the beginning of the 21 century. The officials of the Serbian Orthodox Church thanked the distinguished guests for the visit and the Christian understanding and mutual support.
