Celebration of the feast day of Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles in Zemun

With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Pavle of Serbia His Grace Bishop Irinej of Australia and New Zealand presided over the Holy Eucharistic Assembly on the feast day of Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles - Pentecost at the God's church of the same name in Zemun. His Grace served with the concelebration of 7 presbyters and 3 deacons from the Archbishopric of Belgrade and Karlovac. After the communion of the faithful who fulfilled this holy temple in a great number, and especially children of all ages among them. His Grace Bishop served also a holiday Pentecost evening service during which he read prayers which the Holy Church ordered to be read on this holy feast day, and prayed that Holy Life-giving Spirit pour upon all the gathered in this liturgical gathering.

After the service there was a holiday procession around the holy church, on the occasion of the celebration of the Patron saint of the church and short memorial service to all repose of endowers, contributors, priests and parishioners of this parish community, as well as cutting the slava cake prepared by the hosts of this year's patron saint's day. The Liturgical celebration was ended with a plentiful table of love at the hall of the presbytery, where protopresbyter-staurophor Milan Suzic, the head of the church, greeted all the gathered, Bishop Irinej and all guests on behalf  of the brotherhood of the church and him personally.
