Celebration of Nativity of St. John the Baptist in Diocese of Backa

Novi Sad – His Grace Bishop Irinej of Backa served on the Nativity of St. John the Baptist on June 24/July 7 2011, the Divine Liturgy in the Novi Sad Cathedral church.

Assumption chapel - With vesper service and the Divine Liturgy solemnly was celebrated the Patron Saint's Day of the chapel of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist at Assumption graveyard in Novi Sad. The Divine Liturgy was served protonamesnik Miroslav Milic with the concelebration of other priests.

Sombor – The Major holiday of St. John's church in Sombor was celebrated with liturgical celebration which was led by protonamesnik Srdjan Peric with concelebration of other priests.

Despotovo – Locals of the village of Despotovo celebrated their Patron Saint's Day by participating in the Holy Liturgy which was led by hierarchical deputy Branko Vujinovic. Father Branko was concelerbrated by other priests.

Кljajicevo, Conoplja - On the eve of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist in Holy Trinity in Conoplja a traditional contest of children from Kljajicevno and Conplje in knitting wreaths. This was organised by the Church municipality of Kljajicevo. The children who made the most beautiful wreaths were awarded.
