Celebration of Saint Angelina on Fruska Gora

In an uninterrupted continuity our Holy Church for five thousand years prayerfully remembers Saint  Angelina of Serbia. Also this year, in front of her holy relics under the arches of the monastery Krusedol numerous people gathered with their priests and monks to receive her blessing. 

The solemn vigil service on the Eve of the feast day was served by His Grace Bishop Vasilije of Srem with prayerful participation and chanting of a great assembly of monks fromm all monasteries of Holy Fruska Gora.

The inspired speech on motherhood and moternal sacrifice of St. Angelina was told by protopresbyter-staurophor Jovan Petkovic, dean of the Karlovac seminary. 

On the feast day of St. Angelina the Liturgy was served by His Grace Bishop Vasilije of Srem with the concelebration of chosen priests and monks of the Diocese of Srem.

After the hierarchal sermon of Bishop Vasilije, there was a slava procession around the five-century-old church, as well as the act of blessing the slava wheat and cake.
