The celebration of the Sretenje (Meeting of the Lord) in Orasac also this year commenced with the Divine Liturgy which was led by His Grace Bishop Jovan of Sumadija, with the concelebration of local priests. The service of God waa attended by Crown Prince Alexander Karadjordjevic with his spouse Katherine.

The Bishop held a sermon and at the end of the Liturgy he cut the slava cake, and then with the priesthood at Mariceva jaruga, served the memorial service for the repose of all the souls of the rebels and patriots who paid with their lives for the liberty and the statehood of the Serbian people. At the memorial monument wreaths were laid by representatives of the Government and local authorities and Crown Prince Alexander.

Following that a prize "Responses to Filip Visnjic" was awarded to Mr. Dragan Lakicevic, poet from Belgrade, for his the collection of poems " Family poems". This prestige literary award has been awarded by the Endownment Society "The First Serbian Uprising" since 1996.

After the cultural and art programme, Bishop Jovan with the priesthood went to Oplenac, where he served the memorial service to Karadjordje and the rebels.
