Celebration of St. Dositej of Zagreb at Vavedenje Monastery

His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno served the Holy Hierarchal liturgy on the feast day of Hiero-confessor Dositej of Zagreb and Vavedenje, at the church of Vavedenje monastery on Senjak in Belgrade. A large number of the faithful gathered today at the Holy Liturgy to prayerfully celebrate St. Hiero-confessor, whose relics rest in peace in the nave of the church of this monastery.

Based on the decision of the Holy Assembly of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church from May 2000, by which this Hiero-confessor was added to the list of the Serbian saints and with the explicit blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Pavle of Serbia, Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral transferred the sacred relics from the tomb, in which he rested from January 15, 1945, to the monastery church on May 13, 2008.

His Eminence Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno reminded the gathered of the life and suffering of this new confessor of Christ's faith.
