Celebration of the Transfiguration of Our Lord in Belgrade

Many Orthodox believers from all parts of Belgrade gathered yesterday in a magnificent church of the Holy Transfiguration of our Lord on Vidikovac where His Grace Vicar Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno on behalf of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, served the Divine Liturgy.

Bishop was concelebrated by hierarchal regent Dragomir Ubiparovic, protopresbyter-staurophor Slavko Bozic, protopresbyters Dr Luka Novakovic and Viromir Kostic, presbyter Nikola Soldatovic, protodeacon Stevan Rapajic and deacons Dragan Tanasijevic and Branko Karaklajic.

After the Divine Liturgy during which many believers partook of the Sacrament, His Grace Bishop Atanasije with priests and the people walked in a procession around the church, cut the slava cake and consecrated grapes.
