Ceremony at the French Embassy in Belgrade

By invitation of His Excellency Ambassador of the Republic of France in Belgrade, Jean-François Terral, His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral attended last night the ceremony at the French embassy on the occasion of the French national holiday - the Bastille Day.

 

On this occasion in the garden of the embassy residence, in a presence of the highest state officials, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Mirko Cvetkovic, His Royal Highness Prince Aleksandar Karadjordjevic, representatives of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and many public officials of the Serbian capital, a bust of Louis Barthou, former French Foreign Minister killed in 1934 during the Serbian King Alexander assassination in Marseilles was unveiled.
