Chairman of the State Duma received by the Serbian Patriarch

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej received His Excellency Mr. Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Parliament of the Russian Federation at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade on 5 June 2017.

Mr. Volodin expressed gratitude to the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church for the cordial reception during which they discussed the Russian-Serbian relations throughout history up to the present day. The Serbian Patriarch Irinej thanked the distinguished guests for the visit, wishing him, his associates and the brotherly Russian people every Divine blessing.

The reception was attended by colleagues of the Chairman of the Duma; the His Excellency Aleksandar Chepurin, Russian Ambassador in Belgrade; Dean of the Podvorye of the Moscow Patriarchate in Belgrade Archpriest Vitaly Tarasjev and the General Secretary of the Office of the Serbian Patriarch Deacon Dr. Aleksandar Prascevic.
