The feast of the Nativity of our Lord God and Savior was festively celebrated in Buenos Aires. Bishop Kirilo of Buenos Aires, Vicar to the Diocese of Buenos Aires and South and Central America, served the Holy Hierchichal Divine Liturgy at the Naitivy of the Most Holy Theotokos Cathedral.

Concelebrating were Fr. Stefan Jovanovic, Hieromonk Serafin Rakanovic and Protodeacon Nikola Radis.

A large number of faithful were in attendance who prayed to the Newborn Christ for the salvation of man. With the blessing of Bishop Kirilo, the Nativitiy Encyclical of Serbian Patriarch Irinej was read during the service in Spanish. Bishop Kirilo also delivered a homily wishing a blessed feast of Christmas and the new year on behalf of Metropolitan Amphilohije and explained that the Nativity of Christ revealed a perspective of teh new world. "Until then man lived in the perspective of this world but with the coming of Christ the Kingdom of God was made manifest and a new relationship among men, a relationship based on love and peace and not hostility," the bishop said.

Sister Lidija prepared the Christmas lunch. Ambassor Jela Bacovic spoke at the lunch, as well as Domingo Nedeljko Krpan, a Roman Catholic priest and great friend of this community, Croatian by nationality. At the end of the lunch children received presents that were under the tree, prepared by the parishioners.
