Christmas holidays celebrated in Vraka near Skadar, Albania
Protopresbyter-staurophor Radomir Nikcevic, officiated the Holy Liturgy in the church of Holy Trinity in Vraka.
The celebration of Christmas in Vraka near Skadar began with solemn blessing and burning of the Yule logs on 6 January 2016. In front of the church of Holy Trinity in Vraka Yule logs were blessed by the priest of the Albanian Orthodox Church in Skadar Nikola Petani, following the approval of Archbishop Anastasios of Albania and Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral.
The Liturgy in the church of Holy Trinity in Vraka was celebrated by protpresbyter-staurophor Radomir Nikcevic, Bishop's dean for Herceg Novi region, on the Sunday of the 8th January 2017, on the Synaxis of the Most Holy Theotokos – the second day of Christmas.
The Liturgy was attended by Ambassador of Republic of Serbia to Albania Mr. Miroljub Zaric, president of the Association Moraca-Rozafa Mr. Pavle Brajovic, president of the Association Saint Jovan Vladimir in Skadar Mr. Simo Ajkovic, former minister for Faiths and Culture in the Government of Montenegro Mr. Budimir Dubak and the parish priest of the Albanian Orthodox Church in Skadar Nikola Petani, as well as by the faithful people.
