Church Patron Saint's Day Holy Martyr Prince Lazar celebrated in Zemun Polje

On the day when the Serbian Orthodox Church prayerfully remembers the Holy Greatmartyr Prince Lazar, in the full courtyard of the church which is dedicated to this Serbian victim and martyr for faith in Zemun Polje,it was particularly solemn.

The Holy Hierarchal Liturgy was served by Vicar Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno with the concelebration of many priests.
 
After the sermon the Bishop led the priests, deacons and faithful people around the church, in order to pray the God together for Serbian Patriarch, for Orthodox kin, for the holy church, for peace in the country and during the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy a requiem service for the soldiers and army leaders died for faith and the fatherland since Kosovo until today, in the presence of the officers of the electronic action unit Radovan Medic, and special antiterorristic units, Mr Jugoslav Petkovic, the head of the Municipal Authority of Zemun, Mr Branislava Ivanovica, president of the church municipality, nuns of the Grgeteg monastery, director of the Institute for corn Zemun Polje Mr. Milosav Babic, as well as the choir of the Holy Greatmartyr Dimitrios of Thessaloniki.
 
After the cutting of slava cake and the procession around the church, as well as the consecration of the foundation of the chapel and the church shop priests went to the Institute to cut the slava cake along with the employees of this institute who celebrate their Patron saint Holy martyr Prince Lazar.
