Church of Resurrection of the Lord consecrated at Stanari

His Grace Bishop Fotije of Zvornik-Tuzla consecrated a new church of the Resurrection of the Lord at Stanari on 5 August 2018. The solemn rite was attended by President of the Republic of Srpska Mr. Milorad Dodik.

The following bishops participated in the rite of the consecration: Gerasim of Gornji Karlovac, Sergije of Bihac-Petrovac, Heruvim of Osek-Polje and Baranja, as well as the clergy of the Diocesan Deanery of Doboj.

 Bishop Fotije awarded m.p. of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Mr. Goran Jerinic, mayor of the Stanari municipality, with the order of Holy King Dragutin – Venerable Teoktist for his merits during the construction of the church.

The event was attended by the President of the Republic of SrpskaMilorad Dodik, Deputy Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Boris Jerinic, members of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, etc.

Consecration of the land and an installation of a cross on the place of construction of the memorial church for the 250 suffered victims of the Krnjina region, was done in Stanari on Easter in 2010, and in the last year the Municipality of Stanari allocated 200,000 KM for building the church.
