Church slava in Dapto

On Saturday, July 7, 2012 parishioners of the church municipality of Saint John the Baptist from Dapto, near Wollongong, celebrated the feast of Saint. John the Forerunner and Baptist -their church slava. 

On this occasion the Divine Liturgy was served by His Grace Bishop Irinej and he was concebrated by protopresbyter-staurophor Ljupko Cubrilovic, local parish; Ilija Dragosavljevic, retired parish of Canberra and Miodrag Peric, hierarchal dean of Sidney as well as  hierodeacon Siluan (Mrakic) and deacons Nemanja Mrdjenovic and Petar Mrakic, as well as protopresbyter-staurophor Milan Zbiljic and parish of Wollongong presbyter Branko Bosancic.

After the procession, the Bishop, priests and people returned to the church where they blessed symbols of the slava and cut the slava cake.

After the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy the slava hosts and the sisters of the Cirle of the Serbian sisters prepared a table of love for the guests.
