Conciliar celebration of Easter in Skopje

Archbishop Jovan of Ohrid bominated for Dr. h.c. at the National University of Athens

On the third Easter day, His Beatitude Jovan, Archbishop of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje, celebrated the Holy Liturgy in the chapel of Saint Nectarios of Pentapolj in Skopje. His concelebrant was the His Grace Cyril, Bishop of Abdia from the Ecumenical Patriarchate, who delivered a sermon on the Gospel reading and distributed Holy Communion to the faithful.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Jovan introduced Bishop Cyril to the pious people. Bishop Cyril is a professor at the Theological Faculty of Athens and one of the three professors who nominated Archbishop Jovan as Dr. h.c. of the University of Athens. Awarding honorary doctorate is scheduled for 16 May 2017 in Athens.
