Handing over the bishop's scepter to Bishop Justin, His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch indicated: -Today we had a joyful spiritual event, above all because we participated in the mystery of the Kingdom of Heaven through communion with the Holy Body and Blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who is the Head of the Church, who is present in his fullness in the Holy Liturgy. And there where He is, there is the Kingdom of Heaven. From the mystery of the Holy Liturgy, which is precisely the presence of the Kingdom of Heaven among us, are all the other mysteries of the Church. Because the Liturgy, the Mystery of Salvation, is performed by the Crucified and Risen Lord Himself, and in His place and in His image, from apostolic times until today, the Church has established Bishops to stand. Today we have had the great spiritual blessing to have the consecration of another new Bishop of the Church.

-Dear Bishop Justin, today you have been elevated to the highest service in the Church of Christ. You received the greatest possible honour by the descent of the Holy Spirit in the same way that He descended on the day of Pentecost and constituted the Church of Christ in the world. The service of the Bishop is par excellence the service of Christ. And that means that in addition to the honour you received, you were given the responsibility to serve the Holy Liturgy in the name of Christ, and I want to put that on your heart. The Holy Liturgy is truly your task and the task of all Bishops. If it were nothing else, if only that, you have fulfilled your service, because if we serve the Holy Liturgy and if everything is based on it, everything else will be done at the right time and in the right measure, Patriarch Porfirije said.

In addition to the family and friends of Bishop Justin, the consecration ceremony was enhanced by the presence of the Director of the Office for Cooperation with Traditional Churches and Religious Communities of the Republic of Serbia, Dr. Vladimir Roganovic; Roman Catholic Archbishop of Belgrade Mr. Stanislav Hocevar, representative of the monastic community of Thesis in France, Brother Richard; Colonel Stevica Karapandzin from the Department for Tradition, Standard and Veterans of the Serbian Army, representatives of the diplomatic corps and traditional churches and religious communities, prominent public figures from the cultural and public life of Serbia and the region.
