On Saturday, June 9, 2012 His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch consecrated a new church of Saint Sava in Zagreb, built within a building of the grammar school of Kantakuzin Katarina Brankovic and the spiritual centre in the Monastery of Saint Petka, at Sveti Duh. His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch was concelebrated by Metropolitan Jovan of Zagreb-Ljubljana, Bishop Vasilije of Zvornik-Tuzla, Bishop Lukijan of Osek-Polje and Baranja, Vicar Bishop Antonije of Moravica with many priests and deacons. 

Particles of the relics of Venerable Mother Angelina, despot of Serbia, were laid into the venerable throne, which were the gift of His Grace Bishop Vasilije of Srem and who was along with Bishop Irinej of Backa present at the consecration of the church. 

There were many believers from the Metropolitanate of Zagreb-Ljubljana. And this spiritual joy was enhanced by singing of the First Belgrade Singing Society. 

At the end of the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy Metropolitan Jovan thanked His Holiness and Bishops for the participation in this spiritual joy recalling how the church life and monastery of St. Petka were 35 years ago and how it was now.
