Crosses consecrated on Bukovo field

His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic, where he served on St. Vitus Daz , on Tuesday, June 28 on Bukovo field, where the church of St. Prince Lazar i sbeing built, the prayerful requiem service to Kosovo heroes, martyrs and new martyrs killed for the faith and fatherland since Kosovo battle until today, among those also for the warriors from Bukovo field. 

His Grace Bishop was concelebrated by many priests and monks of the Diocese of Budimlje-Niksic, and with them priests of Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral.
 
On this occasion golden crosses were put on the dome and the belfry of the church on Bukovo field, which constructuon is close to an end. 
 
The Bukovo field is a plateau of 1500 m.a.s.l. which is located on the intersection of Bare Kraljske, Mateševo and Rečina. On this place in 2002, a monument was erected by the Association of Vasojevići "Vaso"  from Lijeva Rijeka, in memory of the killed and wounded in 1877 in one of the most important battles, that the Vasojevići had in the history of warfare. Then it was decided to build a church on Bukovo field in honour of the killed and wounded in this battle. The realization of this project began in 2008.
