Day of Archives in Serbia

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch attended yesterday the marking of the Day of archives in Serbia.  At the celebration at the Archives of Serbia (Karnegijeva 2) a traditional annual award for the best book published in 2011 from archival science or historiography were handed over, based on the archival material which are kept in the archives in Serbia, as well as awards "Golden archive" for deserving archivists and archival institutions.

The Annual award from the Endownment of Djurdje, Danica and Jovanka Jelenic was got by Dr Irena Arsic for her book about the old  Dubrovnil, published by the Faculty of Philosophy of the Nis University. The Golden Archive awards were bestowed upon Nadezda Pedovic, the archivist at the Historical archive "Timocka krajina" in Zajecar and the Historical archive Pozarevac.
