With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Jovan of Nis, on the day when the Church celebrates Holy Apostle Philip, the protector and the Patron Saint’s Day of the Association of the Deaf in Nis, at Saint Nicholas church the Divine Liturgy for the hearing impaired  was celebrated. As far as we know, this is the first Liturgy of this kind celebrated in the Serbian Orthodox Church. Protopresbyter Nenad Mikic, the parish priest of the Association of the Deaf in Nis, served the Liturgy. Deacon Ognjen Stankovic was translating during the Holy Liturgy,and he is religious teacher at the Special school “Bubanj” and who participated in the project The Liturgical manual for the hearing impaired.
