The Divine Liturgy of the new year’s day in Patriarchate of Antioch

His Beatitude John X, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East presided over the solemn Divine Liturgy of the new year day in the Mariamite Church in Damascus. Accompanied with the prayers of the faithful who attended the Liturgy and the supplication of those who watched it through the Media, 

The Patriarch with the clergy prayed for the peace of the entire world, esp. Syria. His Beatitude delivered a sermon in which He insisted on the dialogue and the political peaceful solution to put end to all conflicts. The kidnapped, particularly Bishops Youhanna and Paul and the nuns of Maloula, the displaced and the wounded were present in the words of His Beatitude which touched the hearts of the faithful with hope and courage.
