Doctor's patron's feast day celebrated in Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac

On behalf of His Holiness  IRINEJ, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Vicar Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno served today the Divine Liturgy in the chapel of Sts. Cosmas and Damian at the Clinical Center of Serbia.

His Grace Bishop, in a presence of the adminstration and staff, cut the slava cake and congratulated to the present the Patron's feast day conveying them the blessing of His Holiness IRINEJ, Serbian Patriarch. Bishop reminded the present of the pious life of Sts. Cosmas and Damian who treated the ill with the help of God and not expecting any reward.

After the Divine Liturgy, Bishop went to the side chapel dedicated to Sts. Cosmas and Damian at the hospital of Dr Dragisa Misovic where he cut the slava cake along with pious people and the staff of this hospital.

In the premises of the administration building of Dr Dragisa Misovic hospital, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Radisav Scepanovic, head of this hospital, Bishop met with Mrs. Merry Warlick, US Ambassador to Belgrade. During a short talk Bishop thanked the Ambassador for the humanitarian help in the reconstruction of the damaged hospital.
