Dr. Srboljub Ubiparipovic ordained as deacon
His Holiness Patriarch Irinej presided at the Holy Liturgy in the Ružica Church in the Kalemegdan citadel of Belgrade, and on that occasion ordained into the degree of a deacon Dr. Srboljub Ubiparipović, Assistant Professor of Liturgics at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology, University of Belgrade (photogallery).
On the day of celebration of the venerable Martyr Paraskeve of Rome, on August 8, 2019, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej presided at the Holy Liturgy in the church of Ruzica, in the prayerful presence of His Grace Irinej, Bishop of Backa. Pariarch’s concelebrants were Archpriests-Stavrophors Dr. Savo B. Jovic, Secretary General of the Holy Synod of Bishops, and Dragoljub Ubiparipovic; Archpriest Milan Lazarevic, principal of the Church of St. Basil of Ostrog in the Belgrade district of Banjica; Revd. Borisa Sanjic, spiritual of the chapel at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology; protodeacon Stevan Rapajic and deacons Slavko Anicic and Petar Bakajlic.
During the Holy Liturgy, His Holiness Patriarch Irinej ordained into the degree of a deacon Dr. Srboljub Ubiparipovic, Assistant Professor of Liturgics at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology, University of Belgrade.
After the Holy Liturgy, the Patriarch of Serbia Irinej blessed and boke the festivity cake, sponsor of which was Mr. Sladjana Cvetinovic.
Principal of the Ruzica church Dr. Vladimir Vukasinovic thanked the Primate of the Serbian Church for having offered the Bloodless Sacrifice on the occasion of the feast of the church of Ruzica, and handed in an icon of Saint Sava, the first Serbian Archbishop. to the Patriarch in memory of the liturgical gathering.
Also, the protopresbyter Prof. Vladimir Vukašinović, Ph.D., delivered to the Bishop of Backa Irinej an icon and a series of books published by the Institute of Liturgics of the Faculty of Theology.
At the very end of the Eucharistic celebration the Serbian Patriarch delivered a sermon.
