Eight centuries old bell

The bell of eight tons, dedicated to the 800th anniversary of the monastery of Mileseva, will be casted by May next year in the Russian foundry in Yaroslavl. This was agreed on Friday during a visit of the Russian ambassador Alexander Konuzin in Serbia and the owner of the bell factory  Nikolai Shuvalov and conversation with Bishop Filaret of Milesevo in the Foundation of the Nemanjics.

The bas-relief on the bell will be White Angel, the icon from the Mileseva medieval gallery of frescoes. This job is worth 200,000 euros and in the Diocese of Mileseva they hope they will find donors.
