The Entry of the Most Holy Mother of God into the Temple to Monastery of Pakra
On the feast of the Entry of the Most Holy Mother of God, His Grace Bishop Jovan of Ulpiana, Vicar of Serbian Patriarch – administrator of the Diocese of Slavonia, with the concelebration of all clergymen of the Diocese of Slavonia celebrated Hierarchal Liturgy in the monastery of Pakra, which observes this feast as its church patron day.
On the eve of the feast-day Bishop Jovan visited the Cathedral church of Holy Trinity in Pakrac, where the bells were restored for the first time after the war in 1991, as well as the church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in Gavranica. Lots of faithful people welcomed the Bishop the vigil service was celebrated on the eve of the feast of the Entry of the Most Holy Mother of God into the Temple.
Bishop Jovan addressed the faithful and conveyed the blessings of His Holiness, Serbian Patriarch Irinej, administrator of the Diocese of Slavonia. On behalf of the clergy and the faithful people episcopal deputy, protopresbyter-stavrophor Djordje Todorovic, parish priest of Pakrac, welcomed Bishop Jovan.
After the agape feast, His Grace Bishop Jovan of Ulpiana visited also the monastery of the Dormition of Saint Ana in Donja Vrijeska. In the end the Bishop visited Okucane.
