Exhibition in London: Towards the jubilee
With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, at the embassy of the Republic of Serbia in London, on January 31, 2012, the exhibition of the icons and religious paintings "Saint Emperor Constantine and Empress Helen".
A competition for a thematic exhibition of icons and religious paintings, "Saint Constantine and Helen, the Christian Cultural Center announced in 2010 and on the occasion of the celebration of the upcoming big anniversary - 1700 years since the adoption of the Edict of Milan. Each of them is shown with one their work in his work in the representative catalogue "Saint Constantine and Helen, for which the introductory text " Icon and the Kingdom of God " in Serbian and English was written by Bishop Maxim of Western America.
The exhibition was solemnly opened by Bishop Andrej of Remesiana, vicar of Serbian Patriarch Irinej. The opening was attended by Bishop Dositej of Britain and Scandinavia with his priesthood and was enhanced by chanting of the choir of the Orthodox youth in Great Britain.
On Wednesday, February 1, with a beginning at 18h, the round table was organized regarding the theme " Christianity in 21st century". In the work of the table His Excellency Mr. Dejan Popovic, ambassador of Serbia in London, Bishop Andrej (Cilerdzic), Bishop Calistos (Ver) and fr. Donald Reeves from the Anglican Church.
The exhibition will be moved to other European capitals during 2012 and in 2013 it will be opened in Serbia.
