Farewell reception for Bishop Atanasije at the City Assembly of Belgrade
President of the City Assembly of Belgrade Mr. Aleksandar Antic received His Grace elected Bishop Atanasije of Bihac-Petrovac in a farewell visit at the Old Court on 9 August 2013.
Bishop Atanasije has been Bishop of Hvosno, vicar Bishop to the Serbian Patriarch at the Archbishopric of Belgrade for 14 years. The Holy Assembly of Bishops elected His Grace Atanasije Bishop of Bihac-Petrovac on 1 June 2013.
According to Mr. Antic, Bishop Atanasije devotedly served as Bishop of Hvosno and vicar to teh Serbian Patriarch at the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac. Mr. Antic also pointed out that the great cooperation that the City had with Bishop Atanasije would certainly continue in following period.
Bishop Atanasije stressed a good coordination of numerous activities, especially in an area of culture and education.
His Grace Bishop Andrej of Remesiana, Director of the Office of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities Mr. Mileta Radojevic and Deputy President of the City Assembly of Belgrade Mr. Zoran Alimpic.
