The feast of Beheading of Saint John the Baptist in Cathedral church in Novi Sad

Parishioners of the Cathedral church of Holy Great Martyr George in Novi Sad, led by their Bishop, prayerfully celebrated the feast day of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist 

The celebration of the feast day began with solemn feast's vigil service which was celebrated by protopresbyter Stanimir Popovic. Guests of His Grace Bishop Irinej of Backa were Metropolitan Seraphim of Zimbabwe and Angola (Patriarchate of Alexandria), Bishop Elijah of Philomelyon (Albanian Orthodox Church) as well as representatives of the Anglican Church, who are in Novi Sad due to the conference.

On the very day of the feast His Grace Bishop Irinej of Novi Sad and Backa served the Holy Liturgy with the concelebration of local priests.
